General Janitorial Training

What does the Service Look Like?

During this training, a Capabilities Career Consultant assesses whether an employment goal in the janitorial field could be a good fit for you, determines your current functioning level, and provides you with training on techniques to meet employer standards in regards to quantity and quality. The length of time spent on this training will be determined by you, your Capabilities Career Consultant, and your vocational counselor. Training lasts between two weeks and two months long. You will learn and improve upon skills in many areas including uses of various cleaning solutions, workplace safety, general cleaning skills, restroom sanitation, floor care, proper garbage disposal, equipment care and maintenance, and more.
