Jane Huber

What I look for in a team:

I look for honesty, integrity, professionalism, people that work in a team environment and share their ideas. I expect staff to report to work on time and have a friendly demeanor. It’s good to have fun, but be serious to get the work done.

If you are interviewing with me, you should know:

I expect the person to arrive early, be dressed and groomed professionally and show their passion. One does not need to have experience working with individuals with disabilities; but must be caring and compassionate. I look for someone who has a great personality that will fit in well with our staff.

Biggest Success

My biggest success story goes back years ago when I provided direct services. I was not a job coach at the time, but was asked to coach an individual down syndrome for the summer. I agreed to job coach the individual, but didn't feel I had the skills to help him maintain the job. I was provided excellent training by Capabilities and worked with this young man for the entire summer. He worked many years at the same place and even learned to drive himself to and from work.
