Experience with People with Disabilities
For seventeen years I was in the Home Health Field in a scheduling and human resource capacity. At times I would have to find an individual to meet the special needs of the patients. Sometimes what was needed was someone to listen or take the time to give a friendly hello and how is your day going? On a personal note I cared for my father and my aunt, who were both legally blind the last few years of their lives. I helped to find ways for them to be safe and comfortable to stay in their homes as long as possible. Maybe their out of the home jobs were over but in home they needed to do laundry, cook and lots of other chores to stay in their homes.
