Country Club History and Mission

In the last 10 years of working in the vocational rehabilitation area, we discovered a need for people who can't work.

We excel at helping people with disabilities find successful work. We feel we can do day habilitation just as well.

We talked to parents, people in the community, and everyone in the Capabilities team.  We received a great response and amazing support. We got great ideas from everyone to help get us started.  

Capabilities Country Club was then born.  We came up with the name because we felt being members of a club is so important for everyone.  We thought being members instead of clients or consumers would mean so much more and give the individual a sense of ownership. 

Our mission is to provide a safe, comfortable, and fun learning environment at the club and in the community.  We want to teach and cultivate decision making, life skills, job skills, healthy habits, and support with maintaining and achieving community integration.
